The wedding I DJed last Saturday was awesome. The Bride and Groom (Kris and Kylie) were great and I'll be posting a few pictures from this reception throughout the week. Last Saturdays gig was a blast. It was a 7 1/2 hour reception. Guest went through 3 kegs in the first 90 minutes and 2 more before 10:30. WOW! Anyway this was a shot of the dance floor with everyone out doing the Cupid Shuffle.

Friday nights gig was a blast. Nicole and Adam were a super duper Bride and Groom. The location was the Fremont City Auditorium and after 22 years of being a DJ this was my first time there. Awesome reception!

Okay... this might be the coolest tux shirt I've ever seen. And not just because I'm a huge Boston Red Sox fan. This photo is from Matt and Leslie's reception that I DJed a couple of weeks ago. The big Boston fan the bride is dancing with here is her dad. Way to sport the gear dad!

I just love these slide shows that Brides and Grooms are showing at their receptions. So far this year Bandstand Music has put 27 of these video together for our clients. This is just one trend that I don't see ever getting old.

At a recent wedding reception this guy took over the mic and did some solo "beat boxing". I've got to tell you that this guy was pretty good. The crowd loved him and it added a nice piece of variety to the evening. I'm telling you that you can never go wrong with self entertained guests. Well Done!

This guy at my latest reception was really gettin' down. This is a photo of him busting out a move during the MC Hammer song 2 Legit 2 Quit. One of my favorite parts of a reception is the traditional Garter toss. Trying to get the single guys to come out and look excited is always a huge challenge and can be like pulling teeth. At this particular reception I DJed last Saturday you can see the single guys that came out actually looked excited and eager to catch the garter. It goes without saying that based on this picture that this reception ROCKED!

I've always had a place in my heart for the kids that attend weddings. Most get bored quickly and just don't get the importance of the day. The problem comes when it's time to get the adults up and dancing. An open dance floor is like a playground for the kids. So as soon as I start the dance music I break out the magic and balloons. This is a great distraction for the kids and opens up the dance floor for the adults. This photo was taken by Doug Gunder with Doug Gunder Photography.
