Photobooth Scrapbooks

Monday, September 28, 2009 , Posted by Bandstand Music Inc at 5:22 PM

Last weekend was another successful photo booth rental weekend. Tons of participation during the wedding reception in Omaha. This is a photo of some of the pages guests were signing as we put the scrapbook together. Great fun!

Customer Feedback!

Thursday, September 24, 2009 , Posted by Bandstand Music Inc at 11:32 PM

Wow, Jim was awesome! I had such a blast and that seems to be the consensus. (As if someone would tell me if they didn't...LOL) The mansion as well was very complimentary to Jim in how he got it all set up and played throughout the night in such... a small space so comfortably. Thank you so much for all of your help to get that set up! There are some great pics on my page of us dancing fools that night, feel free to copy any of them for your page if you like. :) I think there is a picture of the grooms cake too...in case you are curious!

Way to go Jim...

Gettin' down with Jimmy

Bandstand Music DJ Jim Morrison whipped it up at the Renaissance Mansion last Friday night for a friend of mines Wedding Reception. Looks like things were rockin'. Love DJing at the Renaissance. It's a beautiful historical home and always proves to be a unique venue for any Wedding Reception.

Horseshoe Grooms Cake

Wednesday, September 23, 2009 , Posted by Bandstand Music Inc at 2:43 PM

Wedding Reception from last Saturday had an awesome horseshoe shaped Grooms cake. This particular wedding had a huge country theme with all the groomsmen in western style tuxes with cowboy hats. Reception rocked!

DJ Perks

Monday, September 21, 2009 , Posted by Bandstand Music Inc at 9:45 AM

One of the perks of being a DJ is that sometimes (despite being 39 and covered in freckles) you can still get a pretty girl to pose with you. Actually this lady caught me off gaurd (not that I'm complaining). I was behind my DJ table at a reception when she suddenly grabbed me and had her friend take this picture.

What would you do?

Thursday, September 17, 2009 , Posted by Bandstand Music Inc at 9:40 AM

The question I often ask my new DJ's is to imagine youself at your first gig and you are behind the DJ table facing a room full of guests. It is now time to start the dance and so my first question to the rookies is "what are you going to do?" Meaning, how are you going to start the dance off. So my question to anyone reading this blog is this: As you look at this picture if you were the DJ what would you do to get the dance kicked off? Remember the bride and groom are counting on you.

The Garter Removal

Tuesday, September 15, 2009 , Posted by Bandstand Music Inc at 9:13 AM

After 9 years of dating, the bride and groom last Saturday finally tied the knot. I took this picture right before the groom removed the garter. I love seeing all the people gathering around and nothing beats seeing the huge smiles on the bride and grooms faces.

Well another monster busy weekend in the DJ biz gone by. This is a photo of one of my best DJ's David Nihsen taken during his gig at Karen's Fireside. I want to thank Jeff Lonowski with Affordable Photography for taking this photo and sending it to me.

Favorite Picture

This is a photo that was taken by Megan Hammond with Something New Productions. It's one of my favorite pictures of one of my DJ's Mark Kirlin during one of his gigs. I want to thank Megan for sending over the picture. It just proves that Black and Whites are still cool.

Elegant Black and Pearl Decor

Friday, September 4, 2009 , Posted by Bandstand Music Inc at 10:54 AM

Throughout the years I've seen a lot of dinner set-ups at receptions. Here is one I found to pretty cool. The room decor was a black and pearl color scheme and the place settings at the table were very elegant. Each guest as they sat had a folded napkin with a menu and a tasty cookie for desert. Very nice...

Another Photobooth Rental Success

Thursday, September 3, 2009 , Posted by Bandstand Music Inc at 11:19 AM

Last weekend we had a riot with the photobooth that we rented. It was a huge hit and at one point we had a line 20 people deep waiting to get in. In this photo a lady comes out holding her photo strip. What's cool is that the Bride and Groom get a copy as well. All photos are put on a disc for the Bride and Groom to keep at the end of the night.

Unique Ukrainian Tradition

Wednesday, September 2, 2009 , Posted by Bandstand Music Inc at 11:22 AM

I always love DJing wedding reception that present traditions I've never seen before. For the first time ever I had a front row seat to a tradition in which the Bride and Groom hold hands with their family as the circle the head table. Directly after the guests all line up and greet the Bride, Groom, and their family by offering them money, well-wishes, and partaking in a drink. In this photo you can see the drinks for the guests laid out in front of the bride. This was a really neat experience to be a part of.

Impromptu Conga Line

Tuesday, September 1, 2009 , Posted by Bandstand Music Inc at 9:42 AM

During the reception last Saturday the guests on the dance floor went into an impromptu conga line led by the groom. Sporting his "crazy hat", the groom leads the bride and the rest of the guests around the dance floor.
